Project Civil Engineer (Transportation)
HMH is a multidisciplinary design firm focused on building and connecting communities in Northern California. They are seeking a Project Civil Engineer to join their Public Projects Team and help deliver major rail projects shaping California.
Responsibilities
Performs engineering design work and calculations on transit station projects, and prepares plans, specifications and cost estimates through the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Word, MS Excel, Bluebeam and other software
Responsible for delivery of sub-disciplines or geographic areas within a complex project
Regularly performs project management and control duties. Tasks may include direct involvement with development or maintenance of contract scope, budget, and schedule. Manage scope and budget for specific tasks on complex projects
Coordinate with subconsultants on interfaces between disciplines
Supervising and training less experienced engineers and/or technicians on multiple or specific tasks
Qualification
Required
State of California license as a Professional Engineer (Civil)
A minimum of 6 years of professional experience, including demonstrated ability to perform as a Professional Engineer in Responsible Charge of tasks or a project
Comprehensive knowledge of CADD, Civil3D, MS Word, MS Excel and other business application software programs
Advanced working knowledge of Civil Engineering and Project Management
Excellent time management skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
