Business Developer, Landscape Maintenance and Snow
Realty Landscaping is seeking a Business Developer to drive revenue growth in commercial maintenance, snow, and landscape enhancement services. The role involves strategic prospecting, proposal creation, and relationship management to maximize win rates.

Responsibilities
Proactively identify new business opportunities through cold calls, networking, referrals, LinkedIn outreach, and industry events
Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects in Aspire CRM, ensuring all stages are up to date and accurately categorized
Build targeted lists by vertical (HOA, commercial, retail, industrial, healthcare, municipal, etc.) and develop tailored outreach strategies
Conduct market research to identify seasonal trends, competitive positioning, and potential client needs
Convert qualified leads into valid opportunities in Aspire software
Enter complete contact, property, and opportunity details, selecting the correct templates for maintenance or snow services (fixed payment, per unit, per inch, seasonal, time & material)
Collaborate with the Customer Solutions Coordinator to ensure accurate data entry for new properties
Coordinate property measurement via Property Intel, ensuring parcel boundaries are confirmed before sending to remote measurement staff
Verify maps and boundaries with clients as needed to ensure accuracy before estimation
Maintain a file of verified site maps, scope documents, and any client-provided bid forms
Review all client-provided scope documents and ensure they align with proposal content
Create estimates in Aspire, validating service lines, frequencies, and square footage/hours for accuracy
Collaborate with Maintenance and Production Managers for production review prior to submission
Escalate budget concerns, pricing strategy, or competitive positioning questions to the VP & GM
Produce proposals using Realty Landscaping’s standard contract format, terms, and conditions
When required, complete client-provided bid sheets accurately and fully
Develop branded PowerPoint proposals that include company profile, project specifications, references, and service team introductions
Actively seek opportunities to present proposals in person to strengthen relationships and improve close rates
Follow up on proposals within 3–5 business days of submission
Proactively address client questions, objections, and clarifications
Maintain relationships with both active prospects and past clients for future opportunities
Maintain complete, accurate, and timely records of all activities in Aspire
Provide weekly pipeline and activity reports to leadership
Track personal close rates, sales cycle times, and proposal volume to continuously improve performance
Qualification
Required
3+ years of B2B sales experience in landscaping, snow removal, property services, or related industries
Proven track record in prospecting, pipeline management, and closing deals
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Proficient in CRM tools (Aspire experience a plus)
Comfortable interpreting scopes of work, site plans, and measurement tools
Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and follow-through
