RF Design Engineer
Stellant Systems Inc. is seeking the best and brightest talent to help bring cutting edge technology to mission critical aerospace and defense applications. The senior RF Engineer will develop high-performance RF integrated microwave assembly and power amplifier products, provide technical ownership of design, and guide a multi-disciplinary team to support proposals and production efforts.

Responsibilities
Detailed design and schematic capture of the RF / electronic circuits and overall product
Develop the functional specifications for RF power amplifiers and integrated microwave assemblies
Proposal support for existing and future products
Ensure that bare die and bond wire layout designs meet design requirements
Qualification execution on new development
Responsible for the release of the engineering design package to the production configuration management system
Set up and calibrate an RF Test bench to perform RF testing including Gain, Power, NF, and VSWR
Provide support and guidance for the development of automated methods for sub-system testing
Design power amplifier matching networks using non-linear models
Support production builds on development and flight hardware
Run root cause investigations for built hardware
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering experience for Sr. Specialist
Minimum of 9 years of relevant engineering experience for Lead
Bachelor's degree in physics or an engineering discipline is required
Typically requires 4+ years of direct RF and microwave assemblies experience
Experience using RF Test Equipment such as Network Analyzers, Power Meters, Bench power supplies, signal/waveform generators, high-speed oscilloscopes, Noise Figure analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
Experience using Microwave Studios CST, Ansys HFSS or Microwave Office
Experience with development or programmatic milestones such as PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR as well as qualification of RF devices
Effective verbal and written communication skills are needed, with experience presenting to internal and/or external customers a plus
Must be able to work well in a team environment and with individuals from a variety of areas within the company
Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications is necessary
Preferred
A master's degree in one of these disciplines a plus
Computer programming skills
Hands on manufacturing engineer experience
Support of space or aerospace hardware
Experience working with engineering drawings
Experience writing technical instructions or equivalent
Previous experience in root cause analysis efforts
