Responsibilities

Design and configure technically complex HVAC and building control systems based on project specifications
Develop flow diagrams, sequences of operation, bills of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics
Create and test software programs to support system performance requirements
Produce accurate drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation teams
Select, order, and track materials needed for assigned projects
Coordinate factory‑mounted equipment and verify alignment with project schedules
Assist with loading and commissioning system and network‑level controllers
Validate complete system functionality and troubleshoot issues with subcontractors and other trades
Provide field change information for the creation of as‑built drawings and updated software
Keep project teams, customers, and management updated on progress, challenges, and solutions
Support owner/operator training on building control systems
Participate in release meetings with field teams to ensure alignment
Perform value engineering to deliver cost‑effective solutions without compromising quality
Provide guidance to Systems Design Assistants as needed
Strictly adhere to safety standards, maintaining a high degree of regard for your own safety and the safety of others

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of the HVAC or construction industry
Solid knowledge of control theory, building automation systems, and low‑voltage subsystems
Experience integrating building systems using industry protocols such as LON or BACnet
Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with computer‑aided drafting tools
