Faculty members plan, implement, and evaluate assigned courses either as an individual assignment or as a member of a teaching team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, completed by application date
Graduate Degree in Nursing, completed by application date
A Ph.D. in nursing or related field, completed by start date
Potential for (Assistant Professor) or demonstrated record (Associate Professor) of excellence in teaching
Potential for (Assistant Professor) or demonstrated record (Associate Professor) of excellence in research/scholarship
Licensed by the South Dakota Board of Nursing or eligible for licensure as a registered nurse as evidenced by current licensure in another state
Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Valid driver's license, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire, and willingness to travel
Preferred
Teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels
A history of successfully funded research and relevant clinical practice
Active program of research and dissemination
Experience with simulation technology and distance delivery
Demonstrated potential or ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams
Evidence of service to the nursing profession
