Responsibilities
Screen patients presenting symptoms of COVID-19, Flu, and/or Strep
Conduct nasal and nasopharyngeal tests and throat swabs
Follow infection control protocols
Enter data into EMR - Athena
Counsel patients on results and communicate any positive results
Open or close testing site; clean up area and dispose of trash
Answer the back line
Work on provider buckets
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge of infection control practices and proper specimen handling
Proficiency with computers and EMR systems (Athena experience a plus)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
Ability work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities an clinic needs
Preferred
Associate degree or medical training certificate preferred
Prior experience performing point-of-care testing (COVID-19, Flu, Strep) strongly preferred
CPS/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
