Responsibilities
Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, loading and unloading points, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by post and location
Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining entry and exit logs, and directing visitors and contractors to approved routes
Complete timely reports for security-related incidents, alarms, and unusual activity, and communicate shift updates to Allied Universal leadership and site management
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience
Possess an EMT Certification
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess an F85 or F89 Certificate of Fitness for New York only
Have previous firefighting experience
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
