Responsibilities
Design and define the overall system architecture for a modern, cloud-native application
Provide technical leadership—guiding developers, reviewing designs and code, and setting engineering standards
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
Review and validate key deliverables (requirements, designs, test results)
Troubleshoot complex issues, improve performance, and ensure scalability and resilience
Support system testing and UAT, including test planning and validation
Contribute to development as needed through peer reviews, pair programming, and targeted coding
Create and maintain architectural and technical documentation
Leverage AI tools to accelerate development and testing workflows
Qualification
Required
Deep expertise in Perl (all versions)
Strong Java + React full-stack experience
Solid background with MySQL / MariaDB
Proven experience architecting Java applications on AWS (or Azure)
Experience delivering large, mission-critical systems for public or regulated environments
Strong communication skills—status reporting, backlog analysis, and risk management
Ability to mentor teams and simplify complex technical concepts
