Responsibilities
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location
Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and/or public responders as directed
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns for reporting
Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with directions and wayfinding, and help maintain orderly movement in high-traffic areas such as entrances, waiting areas, and lobbies
Complete reports for security-related incidents, unusual activity, and patrol observations, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership per post orders
Qualification
Required
Vaccines are required for hospital posts
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
