Responsibilities
Monitor network health (latency, packet loss, interface status)
Check s from NMS tools (Graphana/Prometheus/Nautobot.)
Verify uptime of switches, routers, and firewalls
Track bandwidth utilization and congestion
Review logs and syslog’s for errors or anomalies
Configure & manage new/Old Switches
Troubleshoot VLAN tagging / trunk issues
Monitor and manage STP (Spanning Tree Protocol)
Resolve broadcast storms & loops
Configure Port Security
Manage MAC address tables
Interface status checks (up/down, errors, CRCs)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Management or relevant experience
Experience - 5 to 7 years
Excellent working knowledge on switching and routing concepts
Excellent working knowledge on LAN/WAN switching technologies (Port-Channels, VLANs, etc)
Should have a good understanding of VPN technologies such as Site-to-Site VPN, Remote Access VPN (ZScaler)
Hands-on expertise & Troubleshooting skills with Cisco ISR & ASR Routers, Juniper
Hands-on expertise & Troubleshooting skills with Cisco ASA Firewalls, FortiGate
Hands-on expertise & Troubleshooting skills with Cisco Nexus, Arista & Aruba switches with ACI
Hands-on expertise with Firewalls like FortiGate, ASA
Hands-on expertise with Load balancers like F5, AVI Networks
Hands-on expertise with Cisco, Aruba, and Juniper switches and should have good understanding on switch stacking
Hands-on expertise with wireless devices preferably Aruba / MIST
Hands-on expertise with troubleshooting Network related issues using Splunk and monitoring tools
Excellent knowledge on Arista switches and ACI environment
Experience with incident management and change management using any enterprise ticketing tool
Clear understanding of any Network monitoring tool
Clear understanding on different variants of STP, HSRP, VRRP, VLAN and loop prevention protocols
Excellent working knowledge on routing protocols like BGP, EIGRP & OSPF
Excellent working knowledge on DC technologies like VDC, VPC, etc
Proficient remote support and troubleshooting WAN environments
Experience in designing security for enterprise Networks, analyse vulnerabilities and come up with solutions to audit findings
Ability to learn quickly and work independently
