Responsibilities
Provide customer service to students, staff, parents, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate
Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management
Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations
Monitor entrances and common areas, assist with visitor check-in and badge procedures as directed, and report suspicious behavior and/or prohibited items per post orders
Document patrol activity, incidents, and unusual conditions in written reports, and support security-related coverage during student arrival and dismissal, after-hours activities, and special events as assigned
Qualification
Required
Be at least 21 years of age
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be able to ride a bike
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
