Project Manager – Credit Card Surcharge Implementation
JMS Talent Partners is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation of a credit card surcharge initiative. This role requires a strong project management background and involves working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery while managing risks and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end delivery of the credit card surcharge project, from planning through implementation and go-live
Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan, including scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and milestones
Identify, assess, and manage project risks, with particular focus on financial, regulatory, compliance, and technical risks
Ensure alignment with relevant regulatory and compliance requirements related to credit card surcharging
Communicate project status, risks, issues, and recommendations clearly and effectively to senior leadership and key stakeholders
Manage stakeholder expectations across business, technology, finance, legal, and external partners
Partner closely with the Change Management team to identify and deliver key change activities, including communications, training, and readiness planning
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution and adoption of project outcomes
Provide strong executive-level presence in meetings, forums, and presentations
Adapt quickly to changing priorities and, where required, lead additional projects across the portfolio
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering complex, cross-functional projects
Demonstrated experience leading financial or payments-related projects, ideally including credit card, billing, or surcharge initiatives
Strong understanding of financial risk management, regulatory compliance, and governance requirements
Experience managing technical dependencies and working closely with technology teams
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior and executive levels
Strong ability to identify, articulate, and escalate risks and issues in a clear and pragmatic manner
Experience working with or alongside Change Management teams on business-critical initiatives
High level of flexibility and adaptability to manage multiple projects or shifting priorities
Confident, professional, and polished executive presence
