Staff Attorney

Responsibilities
Serves as Internal Investigations Manager/Staff Attorney
Serves as full line supervisor
Conducts legal research as needed for OIG child welfare-related investigations and child welfare Error Reduction Trainings
Oversees Child Welfare Employee Licensure (CWEL) investigations
Prepares cases for potential criminal prosecution
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Qualification
Required
Requires graduation from an accredited law school and possession of a valid license to practice law in Illinois
Requires three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in the practice of law
Requires ability to pass a background check
Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requires appropriate, valid driver's license
Preferred
5 years of professional experience in child welfare within a public or business organization
5 years of professional experience conducting or managing internal investigations in a public or business organization
5 years of professional experience conducting or managing investigations for a public or business organization
5 years of professional experience writing investigative reports for a public or business organization
3 years of experience supervising professional staff in a public or business organization
