Process Engineer

Responsibilities
Become a technology leader in microelectronics fabrication processes, electronic assembly, and RF testing
Develop new manufacturing processes in support of new product designs. Evaluate, qualify and document new processes and materials selection. Determine manufacturability during the product design review phase
Analyze and implement opportunities for First Pass Yield improvements by developing new processes, assembly methods and tooling as required
Reduce process variation using Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability analysis and six sigma methodologies
Define and manage Capital Equipment plans from equipment specification through justification, qualification testing and release for production use. Specify process equipment for new process and product development projects as well as existing manufacturing processes for efficiency improvements in throughput, labor, and/or capacity
Provide manufacturing engineering support in fixturing, tooling, thick film and thin film technologies as well as other process areas
Identify, implement and track productivity improvement opportunities for labor savings and material cost reductions
Conduct failure analysis through root cause identification and implement corrective actions
Support cross functional Continuous Improvement efforts including Kaizen events, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Mistake Proofing, Value Stream Mapping and eliminating Non Value-Added activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science Engineering or other relevant discipline (or tangible equivalent experience)
1-3 years minimum relevant experience
Preferred
Experience in microelectronics, soldering, manufacturing, CAD software, machining, quality control, thin film deposition, dicing, electroplating, or network analyzers
Statistical Process Control
Six Sigma experience
