Quality Engineer III
Crane Aerospace and Electronics is a leading provider of critical systems and components for the aerospace and defense markets. The Quality Engineer will work with minimal supervision to control and monitor quality, ensuring that products meet industry standards and customer requirements, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers) to ensure product quality and continuous improvement
Monitor and analyze production data, quality control systems, and critical points in the value stream to identify and address quality issues
Lead root cause analysis, recommend corrective actions, and drive qualification of product and process changes to maintain high-quality standards
Support audits, failure analysis, and reliability testing, while producing reports on nonconformance, quality trends, and root cause analyses
Review and approve quality-related document changes (ECOs, MCOs, deviations) and implement continuous improvement strategies using data-driven methods
Qualification
Required
AS9145/APQP knowledge/experience
5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in an Aerospace environment or similar manufacturing setting
Knows and applies advanced concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish goals based on experience and judgment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and outside professionals
Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
BA or BS degree in Quality, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered
As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Preferred
Proficiency in Lean Principles and Implementation Tools
Educational background in Structured Problem Solving, 5S, Mistake-Proofing and process capability tools
Familiarity with Minitab
ASQC Quality Engineer Certification
