Salesforce & Data Analyst
Auburn University is seeking a Salesforce & Data Analyst to support the Manager of Salesforce and Data Administration for the College of Engineering. This role involves providing analytical, reporting, and data management support, maintaining data quality, and assisting with the implementation of new Salesforce use cases to enhance data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities
Assists the Manager of Salesforce & Data Administration with data analysis, reporting, and responding to ad hoc data requests from college leadership, faculty, and administrative units
Supports enrollment reporting efforts, including building, updating, and maintaining dashboards that track application trends, yield, demographics, and student progression
Prepares and submits external institutional surveys, including U.S. News, ASEE, and other required annual submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting definitions
Performs data cleanup, validation, deduplication, and quality checks within Salesforce, supporting recruitment and enrollment workflows and improving data integrity
Assists with identifying, documenting, and implementing new Salesforce use cases to support the operational needs of departments and units within the College of Engineering
Supports Marketing Cloud operations for the college, including building customer journeys, assisting with segmentation, email automation, and mapping communication plans
Designs, programs, distributes, and manages Qualtrics surveys, and produces summary reports and visualizations to support decision-making
Documents and enhances data workflows, recommending improvements to increase data accuracy, efficiency, and consistency across systems
Collaborates with internal partners, including Enrollment Management, Marketing & Communications, and Institutional Research, on shared data and reporting needs
Ensures data integrity across platforms, including Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Qualtrics, and internal reporting systems
Performs other duties as assigned to support data-driven initiatives in the College of Engineering
Qualification
Required
Level I: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Information Systems, or related field and 0 years of experience in the design, analysis, and reporting of data
Level II: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Information Systems, or related field and 2 years of experience in the design, analysis, and reporting of data
Level III: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Information Systems, or related field and 4 years of experience in the design, analysis, and reporting of data
Substitution allowed for Experience: When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience
Preferred
Experience with Salesforce (EDA, reporting, dashboards, data cleanup, and workflow/process development)
Experience with Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, segmentation, and email campaign workflows
Experience designing, administering, and analyzing Qualtrics surveys
Working knowledge of SQL, data extraction, and relational database concepts
Experience building or maintaining enrollment dashboards or institutional reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik, Tableau)
Familiarity with external reporting requirements for surveys such as U.S. News, ASEE, IPEDS, CDS, or similar
Experience with data governance, data validation, and ensuring data accuracy across multiple systems
Strong understanding of higher education enrollment operations or academic administrative processes
Demonstrated ability to document processes, map workflows, and support new Salesforce use case development
Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
