Lead Hazard Control Intake Specialist

Responsibilities

Provide timely information and assistance to participating families and/or property owners throughout the application and abatement process
Review and verify applicant income documentation to determine program eligibility in accordance with state and federal guidelines
Process and manage SHPO determination requests and letters, ensuring compliance with preservation regulations for qualifying properties
Coordinate the temporary relocation of program participants during abatement activities, including arranging accommodations and transportation as needed
Oversee the distribution and record keeping of meal vouchers for relocated occupants, ensuring participants’ needs are met throughout the abatement process
Maintain accurate records of all pre-abatement and post-abatement activities, including inspection reports, clearance documentation, and participant communications in accordance with state and local requirements

Qualification

Required

Associate's degree or higher in social services, public health, business administration, or a minimum of one-year related field experience
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex regulatory and scientific information to lay-people
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn program-specific software
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals and teams
This position requires driving on a regular basis. Passing a motor vehicle record background check and maintaining a valid driver's license and good standing is required

Preferred

Experience in case management, housing programs, or environmental health preferred
