International Tax Manager
RGP is seeking a highly skilled International Tax Manager with expertise in U.S. international tax compliance to support a large corporate client. The role involves managing IDR response processes and collaborating with the International Tax team to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage end‑to‑end IDR response processes, including triage, organization, tracking, and timely submission
Work closely with the International Tax team to ensure alignment, accuracy, and completeness of responses
Organize and synthesize historic and current IDRs, including prior responses, supporting documentation, and audit materials, making them accessible for analytics, leadership review, internal teams, and AI-assisted search
Utilize and help optimize an internally developed AI agent designed to coordinate, draft, and support IDR responses
Engage with IRS contacts as needed (prior government experience not required)
Review new R&D details and assess implications for corporate tax positions
Contribute technical expertise in U.S. international taxation, including:
Forms 5471
FDII, BEAT, GILTI
Subpart F calculations
Section 861 foreign expense allocations
U.S. Foreign Tax Credit calculations
Tax basis balance support
Temporary and permanent M‑1 adjustments
CUBI, GILTI, and FITI research and support
Qualification
Required
Deep U.S. international tax compliance expertise
Prior Big 4 experience
Large-scale corporate tax exposure
Exceptional organizational skills
Proven ability to operate effectively within complex global tax environments
Lead and manage end-to-end IDR response processes, including triage, organization, tracking, and timely submission
Work closely with the International Tax team to ensure alignment, accuracy, and completeness of responses

Corporate global tax compliance and provision experience, with deep exposure to U.S. federal international compliance
Demonstrated ability to manage complex tax controversy, defense, and audit cycles within a large corporation
Strong command of U.S. international tax rules, including GILTI, Subpart F, foreign tax credits, and related calculations
Exceptional organizational discipline, able to intake large volumes of IDRs
AI-curious mindset, comfortable leveraging new tools
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with tax leadership, international teams, and IRS agents
Ability to quickly understand new technical areas (e.g., R&D implications) and translate them into tax analysis and documentation
