Interior Design Intern - Buildings (Summer 2026)

Stantec is on a mission to become the world’s leading integrated design practice. The primary role of the Interior Designer Intern will be to assist the Resource Center and Interior Designers on project work, collaborating with the architectural team on various aspects of interior design.

Responsibilities

File product samples and literature
Coordinate and attend luncheon product presentations
Compose new product displays
Contact and coordinate to obtain updated product information with manufacturers
Assist in project filing and archiving
Prepare transmittals and packages
Incorporate mark-ups/red lines on documents for Interior Designers and Architects
Prepare presentation and finish boards
Order architecture/interior samples

Qualification

RevitAdobe CS ApplicationsMicrosoft Office ApplicationsInterior DesignOrganizationMeeting DeadlinesVerbal CommunicationWritten CommunicationSelf-motivation

Required

Good understanding of Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe CS Applications & Revit
Must be organized, self-motivated, able to meet deadlines, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

Current college student or recent college graduate majoring in Interior Design with minimum experience is preferred
