This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs while providing technical leadership and mentorship to CNC programmers and machine operators.

Responsibilities
Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and multi-axis machining centers
Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for CNC programming and machining processes
Mentor and train CNC programmers and machinists on programming standards, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques
Review and approve CNC programs, machine setups, and tooling strategies prior to release
Collaborate with engineering teams to support new product introductions and design-for-manufacturability efforts
Lead program prove-outs and support first article inspections
Establish and maintain programming standards, documentation, and setup sheets
Promote and support safety, quality, and compliance with established procedures
Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Qualification
Required
Technical certification in Manufacturing, Machining, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
5+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience supporting new equipment installations, facility startups, or production ramp-ups
Advanced proficiency in G-code and CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM)
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, materials, and GD&T
Proven ability to mentor others and resolve complex machining or programming challenges
