This role is central to maintaining accurate financial records, tracking job costs, supporting billing and payments, and providing leadership with clear visibility into project-level profitability.

Responsibilities
Track and reconcile project costs across labor, materials, vendors, and subcontractors
Ensure expenses are accurately coded to the correct project and phase
Support project profitability tracking and margin visibility
Process vendor and subcontractor invoices in a timely and accurate manner
Match invoices to purchase orders, contracts, and project milestones
Maintain organized vendor records and payment schedules
Support client billing tied to project milestones and payment schedules
Track deposits, progress payments, and final payments
Follow up on outstanding receivables as needed
Maintain general ledger entries related to projects and operations
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Support month-end close and financial reporting processes
Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related data entry
Support tax filings and documentation in coordination with external partners
Maintain accurate financial records and audit trails
Prepare financial summaries and project-level reports for leadership
Help improve accounting workflows, documentation, and financial processes
Partner with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy across the business
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, project accounting, or staff accounting
Hands-on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks strongly preferred)
Strong understanding of A/P, A/R, reconciliations, and job cost tracking
Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Preferred
Experience in construction, remodeling, cabinetry, or project-based services
Familiarity with project or job cost accounting
Experience working in a small or family-owned business environment
Exposure to payroll and tax coordination
