Responsibilities
Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Conduct entry screening operations, including verifying identification and/or access authorization, managing visitor sign-in, and screening persons and belongings for prohibited items in accordance with post orders
Operate and monitor screening equipment such as walk-through metal detectors, hand wands, and X-ray systems, escalating suspicious findings and/or policy violations through the established chain of command
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and/or public agencies as directed
Complete security-related reports and logs, document screening activity and incidents, and communicate observations to supervisors and site contacts
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located
1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience
Client Requires Proof of HS Diploma/GED
21+ Years of Age
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
