Category Sourcing Manager, Data Center Infrastructure (Power & Cooling)
Armada is an edge computing startup that provides computing infrastructure to remote areas. They are seeking a Category Sourcing Manager for Power & Cooling to lead the strategic procurement of critical infrastructure for prefabricated datacenter production and deployment.

Responsibilities
Strategic Category Management: Develop and execute multi-year sourcing strategies for PAC categories to ensure continuity of supply and support rapid capacity expansion
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Strong relationship with the providers in the ecosystem including UPS Systems, Switchgear, ATS, Lithium-ion Batteries, Transformers, PDU, Generators, CRAH/CRAC Units, Cooling Towers, Chillers, Heat Exchangers, Liquid Cooling, Rear Door Heat Exchangers (RDHx)
Technical Collaboration: Partner with Engineering and deployment teams to influence design-for-cost and evaluate emerging technologies in (e.g., direct-to-chip cooling, hydrogen fuel cells). Act as the primary commercial point of contact for key OEMs, joint innovation roadmaps
Risk Mitigation: Identify and manage supply chain vulnerabilities, including lead-time fluctuations, geopolitical risks, and material shortages
Sustainability Integration: Drive the sourcing of energy-efficient equipment and circular economy initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical), Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field
5+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience, specifically within data center infrastructure or heavy industrial equipment
Deep understanding of electrical power distribution (High/Medium Voltage) and mechanical cooling architectures (Chilled Water, DX, Evaporative)
Proven track record of negotiating $100M+ global contracts with complex terms and conditions
Prior experience at a major cloud provider or large-scale colocation provider
Preferred
MBA or Master's in Engineering or Supply Chain
Experience managing international supply chains and navigating regional regulatory requirements (e.g., CE, UL, APAC/EMEA standards)
Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI), bringing prototype power or cooling technologies from pilot to global scale
Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract insights using tools like SQL, Tableau, or Advanced Excel
