Responsibilities
Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and entertainment location
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when required and assisting with scene control until help arrives
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns
Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, observe for suspicious behavior, and report policy violations or hazards to site management and Allied Universal leadership
Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and visitor interactions, and communicate timely updates to supervisors and/or client representatives per site procedures
Qualification
Required
Have 1+ years of security-related experience
Be at least 21+ years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
CPR certification is preferred
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred
