Responsibilities

Disassembles/assembles Industrial Vacuum Pump Systems at floor stations
Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications
Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications
Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary
Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions may require exercising independent judgment

Required

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
Prefer 2-5 years of experience in a mechanical field or a related area
Must pass a mechanical aptitude assessment
Strong verbal/ written communication and basic math skills
Strong skills in troubleshooting
Must pass a background check and drug screening
Requires steel-toed shoes / safety glasses- ability to use respirator
Must be able to stand/ sit for 8 + hours per day
Must be able to bend, twist, squat, turn, grasp hand or power tools, lift and push heavy objects in the production area. Frequently lifts, carries, pulls or pushes up to 50 lbs
Must be safety conscious and aware of surroundings at all times
Verbal and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication through automated devices, such as telephones, radios, etc
Constant use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling the use of automated office machinery or equipment
Visual capacity enabling constant use of computer or other work related equipment

Preferred

Electrical panel wiring preferred
Experience reading schematics preferred
Soldering experience a plus
