Responsibilities
Will work to improve knowledge about how construction & design teams interact, particularly in mechanical design
Perform various tasks, including preparing and monitoring documents; work closely with a Structural Engineer to prepare designs and resolve issues
Participate in project strategy meetings within discipline and gain exposure to design concepts, pricing, and proposal techniques/requirements
Participate in design research and other activities as directed
Engage with other interns across the enterprise as part of the overall Summer Internship Program
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Pursuit of a Structural Engineering degree from an ABET accredited program
Experience with CAD / Revit design software
Excellent organizational, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
Ability to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds
Good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp
Visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information
Ability to frequently sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear
Preferred
Experience with CAD / Revit design software is preferable
