Responsibilities
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and/or senior reviewer by providing geology and geotechnical engineering expertise and technical oversight for projects with varying size and complexity
Collaborate with peers in offices across the U.S. and across various technical disciplines to achieve project goals. Other disciplines may include geotechnical, civil, structural, hydraulic, and mechanical engineers, and geologists, environmental scientists, and construction personnel
Provide analysis/design guidance and review of design calculations, engineering analyses, and technical reports
Mentor junior staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's geology or engineering degree with at least 25 years of professional experience
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or license Professional Geologist (PG)
Demonstrated expertise and experience related to risk evaluations, geologic and geotechnical evaluations, coordination among a variety of stakeholders, design review, among others
Excellent oral and written communication skills
A strong work ethic and the desire to perform professionally at a high level
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Attention to detail and well-organized
Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
Preferred
Experience/proficiency with common computer-aided analysis and modeling programs applicable to civil engineering dam and water resource projects
