Postdoctoral Research Associate
The University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking two highly motivated postdoctoral fellows in the Department of Radiology to implement machine learning methods for personalized diagnosis and treatment planning for brain tumor and breast cancer patients. The role involves developing computational frameworks to analyze multimodal data from various clinical sources, contributing to impactful healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities
Develop and apply computational frameworks to integrate and analyze multimodal data from radiology, pathology, and clinical sources
Work directly with Dr. Pallavi Tiwari and Dr. Wenhui Zhou on active projects, including risk stratification, treatment response evaluation, and prognosis assessment
Develop novel radiomic features in adult and pediatric brain tumors, optimizing radiomics predictors to distinguish different response groups to chemoradiation, and perform blinded validation of these tools
Qualification
Required
PhD degree in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related quantitative field
excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred
strong background and training in artificial intelligence/machine learning methodology and statistical theory
proficiency/experience in R-package development using computer languages such as MATLAB or Python
high-level of interest in applying computational skills to innovate healthcare solutions
