Communication Specialist AS6524
Oklahoma State University is seeking a Communication Specialist to join their Housing and Residential Life communications team. The role involves creating engaging content and executing a strategic communication plan for various platforms to inform and engage students and stakeholders about housing-related information.

Responsibilities
Assist in developing communication strategies to inform and engage students, families, and university stakeholders about housing registration, deadlines, policies and events
Create written and visual content for multiple platforms, including print, video, websites, electronic newsletters, text/email messages, and social media platforms
Assist in editing the department website
Assist in creating email and e-newsletter templates using customer relationship management platforms (CRM) such as Slate and the Cowboy Family Portal
Work with interns/student employees to coordinate social media efforts and maintain a complete content calendar
Ensure OSU Brand Standards and campus communications protocols are followed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or related field (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
Demonstrated experience in communications, including, but not limited to social media, video, web, writing, editing, and content creation. Related work experience in general communications, social media management, website editing, content creation, video editing, graphic design, publishing and campaign implementation and planning
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses: Valid driver's license
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge: Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, have an understanding of graphic design and the ability to organize materials, write, edit, visualize concepts, communicate and interpret goals
Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs
