They are seeking a Sustainability Intern focused on the design and construction industry for Summer 2026, where you will assist multi-disciplined project teams with various tasks and participate in training programs.

Responsibilities
Lead the development of communications, sustainability highlights, and content for website updates and social media postings
Contribute to sustainability initiatives, such as carbon reduction, circularity, by tracking progress and researching best practices relevant to engineering and construction
Assist in gathering sustainability data for internal and external reporting
Support key corporate sustainability activities to ensure they reflect current best practices
Visit jobsites to understand jobsite sustainability initiatives while supporting the teams with implementation
Participate and support the three Sustainability Council Subcommittees: Engage, Evolve, and Educate
Qualification
Required
Pursuing an accredited degree in Environmental Engineering/Science, Sustainable Design or similar
Demonstrated interest in the principles of corporate sustainability and ESG
Excellent research and analytical skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to details
Copy editing / proofing ability
Ability to work in a collaborative environment
Willingness to participate in training and professional development opportunities
Willingness to travel
Ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds
Good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp
Visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information
Ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear
Preferred
Prior work and/or college project experience around sustainability or data analysis would be helpful
