Information Technology Support Engineer
Franklin Fitch is a growing IT services organization seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join its Managed Services support team. This role involves supporting client environments both remotely and on-site, focusing on delivering reliable, high-quality technology services with a strong emphasis on customer experience.
Responsibilities
Perform routine IT maintenance including patching, user administration, and log reviews
Provide documented server, network, and desktop maintenance
Install and support workstations, peripherals, servers, network devices, and cabling
Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk support for Windows workstations, Microsoft 365, and end-user IT issues
Assist with network and server adds, moves, and changes
Provide on-site “remote hands” support to senior engineers (cabling, connectivity, hardware interfaces)
Create, validate, and respond to monitoring alerts and troubleshoot issues
Manage tickets end-to-end using a ticketing system, including accurate daily documentation
Prioritize, schedule, and assign tickets according to procedures
Assist with hardware staging, tracking, configuration, and inventory management
Support internal systems and infrastructure as needed
Maintain relevant technical certifications and stay current with emerging technologies
Qualification

General understanding of networking fundamentals (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, WAN, VPN)
Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file/print services, and Microsoft Exchange
Experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems (Windows 7/8/10 or newer)
Basic Active Directory skills including user creation, OU/group management, and NTFS/share permissions
Minimum of 2 years experience in a technical IT support role
Preferred
Familiarity with Cisco technologies preferred
