They are currently seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their workers' compensation team, responsible for organizing files, managing discovery, and preparing for legal proceedings.

Responsibilities
New Files: organize/index; calculate and docket deadlines/extensions; file summary; medical summary; social media search
Enter time contemporaneous to activity
Discovery: complete Defendants’ responses in timely fashion; arrange IMEs; discovery summary; request medical records, personnel file; follow up on outstanding discovery
Communicate with claims representative, employer and opposing counsel
Prepare files for depositions, mediations, hearings (ensure file is up to date)
Draft/respond to Motions, as directed by attorney(s)
Prepare forms and pleadings
Review file and initiate file closing procedures
Cooperates with co-workers
Responds politely to internal staff, clients, vendors, etc
Works as a member of a team
Accepts change in a productive manner
Performs other duties as necessary or assigned
Qualification
Required
four-year degree and/or certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program
2 or more years of related work experience
Preferred

Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
Flexibility: Inspired to perform well when granted the ability to set your own schedule and goals

Associates or better in Paralegal Studies or related field
Bachelors or better in Law or related field
1-3 years: Prior paralegal experience
