Responsibilities

Respond to Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support requests
Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to users with varying technical expertise
Troubleshoot and resolve break/fix issues related to end-user resources
Configure, deploy, and maintain Linux (Red Hat) and Windows operating system servers
Configure and deploy new or replacement desktop, laptop, server hardware, and peripherals
Perform system provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance
Install new servers or rebuild existing servers according to standards and operational requirements
Perform daily system monitoring to verify integrity, availability, and performance of hardware, servers, services, and applications
Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
Perform daily backup operations, file archival, and purging as required
Create, modify, and delete user accounts per approved requests
Apply operating system patches, upgrades, and administrative tool updates regularly
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and recover from hardware or software failures
Monitor system resources for anomalies and resolve connectivity issues between users and systems
Maintain accurate change management records and system documentation
Maintain up-to-date project documentation, architecture documentation, inventory, and maintenance records
Support cybersecurity initiatives, including security monitoring, threat hunting, and mitigation
Configure and add new services as required to support operational needs
Support GIS and Asset Management system infrastructure as needed
Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization
Coordinate and communicate effectively with impacted stakeholders during incidents and changes

Required

3–5 years as a Systems Administrator
5 years of experience configuring and deploying Linux (Red Hat) and Windows operating system servers
5 years of experience with desktop, laptop, and server hardware
5 years of experience administering Active Directory
5 years of experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware
5 years of experience with backup and recovery solutions
5 years of experience providing Help Desk or end-user support
5 years of experience delivering strong customer service
Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred

2 years of experience supporting cybersecurity initiatives
3 years of hands-on experience with network equipment
2 years of experience with Video Management Systems
Microsoft certifications or other relevant technical certifications
Experience providing audio-video (AV) support
