Responsibilities
Serve as the primary quality interface for customer quality issues, audits, and escalations
Lead complex root cause investigations using 8D problem solving to identify and help resolve non-conforming product issues
Define and validate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Own and drive quality performance metrics for assigned products, processes, or manufacturing areas
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, and customer complaints
Evaluate process capability (Cp, Cpk) and implement controls to mitigate quality risks
Utilize gauges, tools, and equipment to complete in-depth assessments
Lead advanced QA and failure analysis activities using SEM, CT scanning, and other analytical techniques
Support the company in maintaining a work environment focused on quality, communication, collaboration, integration, and teamwork
Make data-driven decisions regarding product disposition and containment actions
Serve as primary quality interface for customer quality issues, audits, and escalations
Support customer PPAP submissions, deviations, and corrective action responses
Collaborate with supplier quality teams to resolve incoming material issues and improve supplier performance
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and applicable customer-specific requirements
Support APQP, PPAP, and change management processes
Drive standardization and best practices across quality processes
Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior quality engineers and inspectors
Train manufacturing and engineering teams on quality tools and methodologies
Control and care of quality inspector’s goals
Keep work environments safe and efficient at all times
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)
7+ years of progressive quality engineering experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments, preferably with at least 2 years in the Lithium-ion battery or related manufacturing industry
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and customer-facing quality activities
Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role in an automotive manufacturing environment
Experience managing customer-related QA issues, complaints, and escalations
Hands-on experience with SEM, CT analysis, and advanced failure analysis techniques
Advanced root cause analysis and statistical problem-solving skills
Proficient in Minitab, SPC, data analysis, and report generation
Capability to use MS-office and Minitab programs, six sigma, 8D problem solving
Ability to interpret and communicate SEM and CT analysis results clearly
Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Ability to work independently and make sound engineering judgments
Comfortable interfacing with customers and senior leadership
Proactive, results-driven mindset with strong attention to detail
Preferred
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
Experience in Lithium-ion battery or related manufacturing industries is a strong plus
