Responsibilities
Designing, developing, and shipping production level code
Drafting engineering design documents
Designing backend REST/gRPC services, primarily in Go
Collaborating with teams across DigitalOcean engineering to find improvements to our internal systems and clarify dependencies
Qualification
Required
Students currently enrolled in an accredited Computer Science, Engineering Bachelor's program (graduating in 2027 or 2028)
Passionate about cloud computing, AI/ML, and open-source
Strong problem-solving mindset with a drive to innovate
Designing, developing, and shipping production level code
Drafting engineering design documents
Designing backend REST/gRPC services, primarily in Go
Collaborating with teams across DigitalOcean engineering to find improvements to our internal systems and clarify dependencies
Passion for learning and shipping well-engineered applications
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Some familiarity in building REST or gRPC APIs
Experience or interest in learning Golang to build APIs (gRPC)
Familiarity with building and deploying applications using Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity in working with relational databases (MySQL)
Genuine interest in DigitalOcean as a company and excitement to use our products in your projects
