Responsibilities

Supervising the Stern Area Systems(SAS) and Special Projects group

Responsible for SAS components and special projects from various engineering groups utilizing the electronic and model shop in the EDL

Employee skill and competency development

Preparation and coordination of meetings for construction and installation of engineering design models, design recommendations, technical integration and block build transitions

Required

Bachelor's degree

4+ years of experience in electronics

2+ years of leadership responsibility

Current DoD Secret clearance

Strong electrical and mechanical component knowledge

Workflow experience

Demonstrated ability to lead a team to a successful conclusion

Ability to manage a group of engineers/technicians while meeting budget and schedule constraints

Familiarity with EB system engineering processes

Familiarity with technical directives

Familiarity with MDA management

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to make presentations to the customer and EB management

Preferred

Submarine combat system knowledge, system integration experience

Engineering development model development, implementation and test

Mechanical design and fabrication experience

Electronic simulator design and integration experience

Experience planning use of production workflows and engineering problem resolution
