Responsibilities

Contribute to shaping practice strategy, including resource planning, process improvements, and team capabilities
Partner closely with practice and firm leadership to shape service delivery, strengthen market presence, and support strategic growth initiatives within the Not‑for‑Profit tax practice
Guide broader team development, helping team members expand their technical skills and leadership abilities, and fostering a culture of continuous learning
Identify and pursue new client opportunities, including participating in prospect conversations and supporting proposal development
Serve as a trusted advisor to nonprofit executives and boards, offering proactive guidance on tax strategies, evolving regulations, operational impacts, complex tax matters such as UBIT, public support testing, and charitable contribution requirements
Lead the preparation and review of federal and state tax filings for exempt organizations, including Forms 990, 990‑T, and 990‑PF
Interpret and apply evolving tax law to unique nonprofit issues, staying current on developments impacting the exempt organization sector

Required

BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA of EA certification required (or in-progress towards certification)
7+ years of current public accounting experience
Proficiency with computerized tax software and MS Office
Strong client rapport and project management skills
Supervisory experience
Flexible schedule
Ability to service multiple client engagements simultaneously
Strong communication (verbal and written) skills with the emphasis on ability to articulate complex tax and financial information to all levels of clients
