Responsibilities

Supporting design requirements for electrical power generation, conversion and distribution systems, and circuit protective requirements for aerospace vehicle systems including Electrical Loads Analysis, test procedures, power architectures, reports, analyses, and other vehicle power related deliverables. Familiarization with MIL-STD-704 is a plus
Responsible engineer activities, which include all aspects of system/component design and development including trade studies, layouts, architecture definition, system test & verification, and troubleshooting. These activities may also include participating on a subcontractor management team and will act as the technical point of contact with suppliers for hardware development, qualification, and procurement
System level test planning, execution support, verification, data processing, and troubleshooting
System level evaluations to verify requirements and ensure airworthiness criteria are met
Working under general supervision and as part of a large multi-disciplined team
Attending internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates
Working in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in (STEM) discipline AND 8 years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree in a relevant STEM discipline AND 6 years of engineering experience
Experience in electrical design of circuits and wiring assemblies for air vehicles
Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance (Interim Top Secret or higher must be obtained prior to the commencement of employment)

Preferred

Experience with military aircraft subsystem development, with requirements definition, specification development, component analysis, procurement, source selection, integration and test and verification for advance aircraft
Experience interpreting component detail drawings, specifications, installation drawings, and test procedures
Active DoD Top Secret (or higher) clearance
