This hybrid role involves overseeing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with industry standards while acting as the main point of contact with clients.
Responsibilities
Lead the complete project lifecycle for structural designs, ensuring alignment with client requirements and budget constraints
Manage and oversee a team including Engineers, Project Engineers, and CAD Designers, fostering professional development and high performance
Use and provide guidance on design software including RISA 3D, Open Tower, tnxTower, OCALC, and AutoCAD
Perform quality control checks and technical reviews of drawings and structural reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes
Act as the main point of contact with clients, presenting proposals, updates, and technical information effectively
Conduct site visits and structural investigations to gather data and train staff on efficient data collection methods
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in civil or structural design and 4+ years of experience managing and training staff
A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
A valid driver's license is needed for site visits
Proficiency in structural analysis software (RISA-3D, Open Tower, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite is required
Telecommunication experience is a must
Strong understanding of applicable building and design codes
Preferred
PMP certification is a plus
