Responsibilities

Ensure 24/7 availability of applications and provide operational support during night shifts

Act as primary point of contact for administrators and users to resolve application-related issues

Respond to critical production outages, assess business impact, and drive issues to resolution

Perform root cause analysis and provide recommendations for long-term improvements

Own issues end-to-end from first notification through final resolution

Troubleshoot complex production issues and identify application defects

Coordinate with software vendors for short-term fixes and permanent solutions

Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual operational tasks

Support change requests (CRs) and monthly/quarterly releases

Create and maintain operational documentation and SOPs

Provide on-call and weekend support on a rotational basis

Required

Strong troubleshooting and research skills

Experience with monitoring/APM tools such as Dynatrace or Datadog

Advanced knowledge of web-based and cloud technologies

Strong understanding of database-driven applications

Working knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL

Experience with Windows and Linux/UNIX environments

Ability to perform system administrative tasks for troubleshooting

Knowledge of Cloud IaaS and PaaS, preferably AWS

Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems

Strong scripting and basic programming skills

Understanding of network protocols (FTP, SFTP, TCP) and network troubleshooting

Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) knowledge

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 production support environment
