Epic Client Systems Administrator
HCL Technologies is seeking a Primary Epic ECSA Administrator who will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for overseeing environment configuration and build standards within the Epic ecosystem. This role involves both hands-on technical expertise and mentorship, focusing on Epic MyChart customization and optimization while collaborating with a team to ensure scalable configurations across all Epic environments.

Responsibilities
Lead technical ownership of Epic environments including Hyperspace web components, Interconnect, Print Services, System Utilities, Reporting/DR, and Service Layer management
Oversee and guide team practices for builds, upgrades, SU/IU deployments , and environment lifecycle management
Define, document, and enforce ECSA operational standards , ensuring consistency across all team members
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and configuration issues involving Epic web services, cache/IRIS interactions, APIs, and service daemons
Collaborate with Hosting, ODBA, Network, Security, and Application teams to maintain stable, performant Epic systems
Mentor and provide technical direction to the existing ECSA team to improve skill depth and cross‑functional capability
Serve as the organization’s technical SME for MyChart customizations, configurations, and user experience improvements
Implement and standardize MyChart customization frameworks, including: UI and theme adjustments, feature enablement and configuration consistency, patient experience optimizations, integration setups through Interconnect or FHIR services
Establish governance, documentation, and best practices for the ECSA team to ensure long‑term maintainability
Monitor and optimize MyChart performance, load balancing, and error trends
Partner with Operations, Patient Support, and Application teams to streamline issue resolution and reduce recurring service disruptions
Develop internal tools, scripts, and processes that increase efficiency and reduce variability across environments
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in Epic ECSA administration or Epic technical services
Strong knowledge of Epic's technical architecture, including Interconnect, Hyperspace web, Printing, and System Utilities
Demonstrated experience supporting or customizing Epic MyChart
Ability to lead technical standards, mentor peers, and build unified processes within an engineering/admin team
Proven troubleshooting ability with complex, multi-layer Epic environments
Epic Certifications for ECSA and a proficiency in Epic MyChart
Preferred
Experience introducing or governing MyChart branding, customization, or digital experience improvements
Familiarity with identity management, SSL certificates, SAML/OAuth configurations, or portal security practices
Background developing internal tools, scripts, or automation for ECSA workflows
Experience supporting cloud-hosted or load-balanced web infrastructure
