Responsibilities
Serves as the primary engineering resource and/or the project lead on projects using existing technology or as an engineering resource on new technology projects
Drafts and executes testing protocols for allograft tissues, processes, and equipment
Generates technical reports for verification and validation of new products/processes and/or improvement implementations
Supports the engineering needs of other LNH departments as determined appropriate
Responsible for mentoring peers, technicians on existing procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and two (2) years of engineering experience in a medical device or similar regulated industry (e.g. Aerospace, Pharmaceutical) OR
Master's degree in Engineering
This person will be required to continuously sit, stand, and walk
They will be required to frequently lift (average 50 lbs) and carry items (5-10 feet)
Additionally, this person will be required to pass a pre-employment health screening
Preferred
Master's degree in Engineering
White Belt or Green Belt Lean Certification: Certification from LifeNet Health Lean University or similar
Two (2) years of directly related medical device engineering experience
Solidworks, MiniTab, JMP
Biomedical Engineering & Technology: Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology to production and development of clinical solutions
