Supervisory Architect/Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineer
Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is seeking a Supervisory Architect/Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to lead the TENF organization. The successful candidate will develop, implement, and evaluate programs and policies to ensure timely delivery of products and programs.

Responsibilities
Provides strategic planning and visioning for the development and execution of BPA's Facilities Engineering programs and functions, including creating, leading, and maintaining a framework of priorities, policies, processes and procedures, technologies, data, and people
Establishes annual and longer-range strategic work plans and schedules for in-service and contracted work, independently of or jointly with higher management
Contributes to the determination of resource needs and allocation of resources, and is accountable for their effective use
Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets, and adjusts priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work
Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees

After employment, this position may be subject to periodic physical examinations, as prescribed by competent medical authority and at BPA expense, if exposed to health hazards
BASIC REQUIREMENT: GS-0808 - Architecture: Degree in architecture; or related field that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture or related disciplines of which at least (1) 30 semester hours were in architectural design, and (2) 6 semester hours were in each of the following: structural technology, properties of materials and methods of construction, and environmental control systems
Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the arts and sciences underlying professional architecture, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the architectural principles, methods, and techniques and their applications to the design and construction or improvement of buildings
GS-0810/0830/0850 - Engineer: A. Degree: Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics
Combination of Education and Experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering
Professional Registration or Licensure -- Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico
Written Test -- Evidence of having successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination or any other written test required for professional registration by an engineering licensure board
Specified Academic Courses -- Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences
Related Curriculum -- Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field, e.g., engineering technology, physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree in engineering
A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the Federal service
Specialized experience is defined as: Experience leading a project or team or serving as a technical expert for facilities engineering projects; and providing technical consultation on complex scoping, design, construction, and operational facilities issues
