Loan Originator Assistant - Medford, OR
Residential Mortgage is seeking a Loan Originator Assistant to support their team in the mortgage process. The role involves assisting Loan Originators with various tasks to ensure a smooth operation and delivering excellent customer service throughout the loan application process.

Responsibilities
Be the right-hand support for Mortgage Loan Originators—handling calls, calendars, files, documents, and daily office operations
Set up mortgage application files and help gather & verify required information (employers, banks, creditors—you name it!)
Order credit reports, appraisals, prelims, and follow up to keep things moving
Input loan applications and prepare origination documents and disclosures
Review documents with a sharp eye for accuracy and completeness
Deliver proactive, friendly customer service and help resolve questions or issues
Partner closely with Loan Processors to ensure a smooth handoff
Coordinate pickup and delivery of loan packages and materials
Assist with internal and external audits and documentation requests
Stay compliant with state & federal regulations and industry guidelines
Jump in on other duties as needed—we’re a team!
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years of general administrative experience
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent customer service and people skills
Detail-oriented with a knack for proofreading and accuracy
Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and deadlines
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Comfortable learning new software and system upgrades
Able to operate standard office equipment (computer, copier, phone, etc.)
May require active registration with the National Mortgage Loan Licensing Registry
Annual renewals, fingerprinting every three years, and a criminal background check required
Preferred
Mortgage, consumer lending, or related experience is a plus
Military education or experience may substitute for education or work experience
