Responsibilities
Supports the Chief Operating Officer and takes an active role in supporting the Senior Operational teams in the field
Partner with operations assisting the teams to gain efficiencies in labor management, supply management, compliance, contract management and subcontractor management
Work closely with Senior leaders and their direct reports to ensure performance is fully understood in detail and addressed to improve P&L performance
Partner with Operations to assist with preparation of projects such as annual budgets, monthly financials, job costing, job modeling, new business start ups and provide insight into all financials and all variances
Partner with the Senior Operators to set goals on how to maximize contributions for Operations cash bonus incentive plan
Apply broad knowledge of general accounting to facilitate and work internally with finance team
Work both internally and externally to drive process improvements and innovations, including report building
Ability to be client facing assisting operations with customer contract compliance, invoicing, collections, contract modeling where needed
Analyze financial data and operational data and create financial models for action planning and decision support
Assist with monthly P&L and job costing analyzing projects for improvement financially
Possess excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills
There is a need to have a “get it done” mentality as well as an intellectual curiosity that thrives in a fast-paced environment
Traveling up to 50%
5-day office work week preferred
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting
7+ years finance experience in accounting field
Demonstrated technical skills in compliance, internal controls, process improvement, project accounting, job costing
Demonstrated ability to establish strategic objectives based on changing needs of business, industry and clients while continuing to drive short term objectives
Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and implement solutions and procedural changes to improve operational efficiencies and effectiveness
Demonstrated ability to see what needs to be done, take ownership of objective and follow through on initiatives to completion
Demonstrated ability to adopt positively to frequent change, multiple projects, delays or unanticipated outcomes
Demonstrated ability to partner with leaders, proactively build cross functional relationships and communicate clearly within all levels of organization
Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate finance and cross functional team members with passion and clear vision of goal
Demonstrated ability to drive for business results with sense of urgency and commitment to timelines and goals
