Responsibilities

Perform and document a variety of functions in support of the development of new technologies for cell culture manufacturing processes of human therapeutic biomolecules
Conduct laboratory cell culture experiments, such as setting up and running bioreactors and shake flasks, assisting in experimental design, troubleshooting, and analyzing data
Spend roughly half of their time performing bench-scale bioreactor experiments and half of their time handling and interpreting the generated data
Project examples include evaluation of a new technology application, assessment of a process specific hypothesis, development of a new lab test method, or application of engineering principles to bioreactor systems

Required

Self-motivated and independent, yet team oriented
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Knowledge of mammalian cell culture techniques including aseptic operations, cell biology, biochemistry, analytical techniques, and bioreactor operations is a plus
Proficient in working with PC based computer systems and relevant applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Legal authorization to work in the U.S
At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college, university or skills program/apprenticeship
Undergraduate in engineering or life sciences majors
