Director/ExecutiveLHH is a well-established HVAC contractor seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and grow its Commercial HVAC Construction Division. This senior leadership role involves full P&L responsibility, strategic planning, and operational excellence to drive the division's growth in multi-family and light commercial HVAC installation.

Responsibilities
Own overall performance and growth strategy for the Commercial Construction Division
Develop and execute scalable plans to grow revenue, margin, and market presence
Build a strong leadership bench and foster a culture of accountability, safety, and performance
Partner with executive leadership on long‑term planning and organizational structure
Full P&L ownership, including budgeting, forecasting, and margin optimization
Establish and monitor KPIs around production efficiency, labor utilization, job costing, and profitability
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at expected quality standards
Improve estimating accuracy, scheduling efficiency, and cost controls
Lead commercial business development efforts, focusing on multi‑family developers, general contractors, and repeat clients
Strengthen existing client relationships while expanding into new accounts and markets
Partner with estimating and operations teams to produce competitive, profitable bids
Represent the organization within the commercial construction community
Lead project management, field leadership, and operational support teams
Recruit, develop, and retain top talent across operations and project management
Set clear expectations and drive accountability at all levels
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with regulations
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a General Manager or senior leader in construction or HVAC
Strong background in commercial HVAC installation, ideally multi-family and light commercial
Demonstrated success scaling revenue and operations
Solid financial acumen with hands-on P&L ownership
Experience leading teams with multiple concurrent projects
Strong understanding of estimating, project execution, labor management, and job costing
Heavy commercial, industrial, or chiller experience not required
Preferred
Builder mentality—comfortable scaling a division to the next level
Decisive, accountable leader who owns outcomes
Strong communicator who aligns field, office, and executive teams
Practical, low-ego leadership style that earns respect across job sites and boardrooms
Growth-focused but disciplined about margins and operational execution
