Responsibilities
Analyzing complex electronic circuitry and precision electro- mechanical assemblies in order to recommend component substitutions to ensure the integrity of the platform configuration, safety and performance specifications
Identifying, analyzing and solving obsolescence issues across multiple platforms before they impact sustainment
Accessing, interpreting and recommending changes to engineering drawings utilizing data repositories such as JEDMICS or commercial equivalent
Interpreting and approving detailed technical data to support the replacement of components for items where the manufacturer has discontinued production, including: existing stock, reclamation, alternate, aftermarket, F3I substitutions, emulation, and minor/major redesigns
Qualification
Required
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, or a Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from an accredited university
Five years combined experience supporting a sustainment environment such as military depot or equivalent
Analyzing complex electronic circuitry and precision electro-mechanical assemblies in order to recommend component substitutions to ensure the integrity of the platform configuration, safety and performance specifications
Identifying, analyzing and solving obsolescence issues across multiple platforms before they impact sustainment
Accessing, interpreting and recommending changes to engineering drawings utilizing data repositories such as JEDMICS or commercial equivalent
