Project Manager - Special Projects, Operations

The Project Manager, Special Projects—Operations will lead and manage complex initiatives, ensuring timely execution and effective communication among senior leadership and various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Lead, track, and manage timelines for priority initiatives across Operations, Policy, and Strategic Projects ensuring that milestones are met and deliverables stay on schedule
Serve as the coordination point between internal teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders
Establish structured project frameworks, dashboards, and progress reports to maintain transparency and accountability
Anticipate roadblocks and proactively develop mitigation paths
Ensure programmatic discipline around scope management, prioritization, staffing, and handoffs
Act as a strategic partner and problem solver for senior leaders, providing research, summaries, briefing materials, and decision support tools
Draft high-level memos, presentations, and communication updates that reflect leadership priorities
Maintain judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information and executive communications
Facilitate collaboration between internal teams, including operations, finance, HR, technology, policy, membership, and communications
Identify areas to streamline processes or optimize resource allocation
Track KPIs and performance indicators to measure progress and effectiveness
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, public policy, economics, analytics, or a related field
5+ years of relevant experience in consulting, strategic operations, program management, or a chief-of-style capacity
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with disciplined prioritization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentations
Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally and influencing without authority
High emotional intelligence, judgment, professionalism, and discretion
Advanced competency in Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools
Experience delivering analytical or operational projects in consulting or high-growth environments
Preferred
MBA or relevant graduate degree is preferred
