Sr Director, Global Talent Acquisition

Responsibilities

Partner with leaders to align global talent acquisition strategy with enterprise business goals and long-range workforce plans
Work with leaders to forecast global talent needs and build proactive, scalable hiring strategies that deliver high-impact results
Lead executive recruiting, ensuring Illumina attracts and hires top-tier leadership talent capable of driving global growth and innovation
Embed enterprise and global mindset into all TA programs, ensuring consistency, scalability, and alignment across regions and business units
Leverage advanced analytics, market intelligence, and competitive insights to guide decision-making and influence stakeholders
Drive initiatives that strengthen the employee value proposition and employer brand, elevating the candidate experience across all global markets
Oversee recruitment operations across, ensuring process excellence, compliance with local labor laws, and unified stakeholder experience
Champion adoption of technologies, AI-driven tools, and digital capabilities to enhance efficiency, scalability, and candidate engagement
Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of talent acquisition professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation

Required

Inspirational leadership style that builds trust, drives performance, and strengthens cross-functional partnerships
Agile and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced, complex global environments

Preferred

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 20 years of related experience, with 12+ years of Management experience
Proven success leading global recruiting strategies across multiple regions
Expertise in employer branding, workforce planning, and modern recruitment technologies (ATS, CRM, AI-driven sourcing)
Experience leading enterprise-wide, high-volume recruitment initiatives
Biotechnology or technology industry experience preferred
Blend of corporate, agency and executive search experience highly valued
Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree in related field preferred
